It's been a long, strange trip the last few months. NEED is grateful to all the teachers, parents, administrators, health care works, emergency workers, grandparents, and kids who have sacrificed everything 'normal' to try to protect the vulnerable in our community. The last months have been a time of upheaval and reflection. And also a time for NEED to consider our work and our mission from a new perspective.
It is clear, more now than ever, that NPS classrooms must be able embrace new technology and innovative styles of learning. The mission of NEED is to provide new technology and resources to classrooms and students. Watching the work of each teacher in this district, and learning first hand the social, emotional, and educational needs of the kids, NEED's mission is clear and present. We can support technology. We can support teachers. We can adapt and overcome every challenge. But we can't do it without you. Whether through financial support or volunteering, NEED creates advancements in every classroom. Please join us as we help NPS navigate through a period that will be unpredictable, tumultous, and (possibly) transformative. Virtual Trivia Night raises
over $2,000 for NEED!!
At the beginning of this epidemic, the world changed seemingly overnight, with no clear path to escape unscathed from the ravages of COVID-19. Isolation was the only sure thing to protect ourselves and our loved ones and to Flatten the Curve. But social contact is a basic need for all people. We need to hear and be heard; to laugh; to share stories; to strengthen bonds and friendships; and to maintain a sense of community and normalcy through these anything-but-normal moments.
Enter Dave Heaney and his Saturday Night Virtual Trivia. Dave rallied friends and community members beyond Norton to play trivia and support charities at the same time. NEED was the beneficiary of one such trivia night. As our fearless host led us through trivia and karaoke from the comfort of our living rooms. Dave helped raise over $2,000 for NEED, on the heels of the cancellation of our largest fundraiser. Thank you Dave!!!
