Norton Public Schools are all about inclusion, and NEED is delighted to be able to grant the wishes of the JCS and LGN Inclusion staff, Emily Teixeira, Lauren Small, Danielle Carriere, and Emily Ducharme.
The grant included visual timers, wiggly seats cushions of various sizes, fidget bands, weighted lap pads, wobble chairs, clear plastic screens, sensory sand, and a mobile standing desk.
When is it OK to cut up your favorite picture books? When you're turning them into Story Walks, of course!
Wish granted for the LGN and JCS staff of Julie Durmis, Rachel Young, Amanda Weeden, and Jennifer Farley, who received supplies to create weather proof Story Walks for both schools!
The grant included a picture books, laminating supplies, wooden stakes, heavy duty velcro, cardstock, and a laminator to create these magical story walks.
No more glitching out! No more disrupted lessons! No more tearing-your-hair-out-waiting- for-the-screen-to-clear-up-so-class-can-continue!
Congratulations to NMS Math Teacher, Christina Bouchard, whose request for a functioning Promethean Board was GRANTED through NEED!

A space for kids to de-stress and focus on the social, emotional, and behavioral skills needed to succeed in school. Granted to Miss Jensen at the Norton Middle School.
A collaborative work space for kids and teachers in the STEP community to create and organize for their projects. Granted to Miss Sullivan at the Norton Middle School
An ADA-compliant garden set up, maintained, and harvested by Norton High Students. Submitted by Ms. Marchilena, Mr. Shield, Miss Sweed, Miss Iozzi, and the Science Honors Society at Norton High.
Accessible Playground accessories and activities to provide an inclusive playground experience. Granted to Miss Hodgson, Miss Adams, and Miss Taylor at the JCS Elementary School.
